When I'm sick I refuse to let it spoil eating food that I enjoy. I still have great food but make sure that it is something that will benefit me and help me feel better. So I decided to make myself a delicious smoothie that would be hydrating and full of all the vitamins I need to not just feel better but get better!
What's worse than having a fever and sore throat? Having a fever and sore throat right in the middle of summer. Unfortunately this is my current situation. Usually I would baby myself with lots of hot tea and warm chicken noodle soup, but when it is 90 degrees outside those are kind of the last things I want.

I've been back in Brooklyn since Monday night and I am still so exhausted. Jet lag this time around has been no joke! My night and day have totally swapped. While Australia was relaxing, I feel like the trip back undid a good chunk of it. So I've been craving things that will relax me.
I am a huge tea drinker. I just love the stuff (my apartment has an entire cabinet dedicated to tea and tea accessories!). Hot or iced - it doesn't matter. For whatever reason I've been craving carbonated beverages lately. So I thought...why not combine the two? I bet it'd be delicious! And it absolutely is. |
AuthorI'm Ali! Living it up in Brooklyn. I love cooking, baking, crafting, crocheting - you name it! Most of what I cook is healthy for you (and equally delicious) with the occasional "not-healthy" meal (but so worth it). My passion truly lies with inspiring others not only to cook at home but to try new foods in the process! Archives
